Longest Away Day For The Gingerbreads

After another midweek postponement, Louis Bland takes his side up to Ashington today.

""Having Tuesday night called off was frustrating. With the result against Consett, we wanted to get going as soon as possible. We had a really good training session on Thursday night and we talked about how things are going to be with the rearranged fixtures. It will be a lot of football in a short period, but we'll be ready

Saturday will be a difficult task, they've got two players who score a lot of goals. We need to be doing the basics and then take our chances when they come"

Ashington were at Carlton on Saturday, losing 2-0 conceeding a 96th minute penalty. Their last two home matches have produced a 5-2 win against Bridlington and 2-0 loss to Grimsby Borough.

Rodrigo Goncalves is fit to play after coming off injured to Consett, Ethan Bojang is again available after no side affects from playing last week. Sam Muggleton is suspended following his red card at Carlton.

The Gingerbreads will be rewarding those supporters who are making the trip by buying them a pre-match drink "The support we've had has been fantastic, the lads wanted to do something to thank them so they had a whip round and will get those that get to Ashington a drink"

Updates of the match will be posted across our social media accounts.
