““I am very pleased to have been able to secure the services of Lee. His style of play fits exactly with the high intensity and fast paced game that we intend to bring to our league programme for the coming season.”” Adam Stevens, First Team Manager
After a successful pre season The Gingerbreads took the steps to get local player Lee Shaw on contract at Tuesday nights squad photo.
Lee scored on his first appearance for The Gingerbreads at Bardon Hill and his first competitive start slotting home after 4 minutes in the win against Brigg Town in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy.
It hasn't been all good though as he was stretched off during the win against Grimsby Town, luckily it was not too serious and he's in contention for the start of the 2015/16 season.
Chief Executive of Grantham Town FC, Keith Horton commented "“We are extremely pleased to have secured Lee’s signature. The management at Grantham Town are committed to the development of young local talent and we are very pleased to be able to play a part in the development of a young talented local player. The Clubs Soccer Development School in partnership with Grantham College starts in September and hopefully we will see other local players signing contractual forms with the club over the coming years.”
