New boss Richard Thomas has made his first signing since joining the Gingerbreads as manager, securing the signature of 18 year old defender Choz Charlesworth last night.
Choz came up through the ranks at Nottingham Forest, spending nine years at the Reds, before being released in the summer. Most recently, Choz had a spell on trial at county neighbours Lincoln City.
Choz is a familiar face to current Gingerbread Luke McCormick, as they were in the same Nottingham Forest U18s team; alongside goalkeeper Rudolfs Soloha - who kept a clean sheet on his only appearance for the Gingerbreads in an emergency loan spell last season.
We are delighted to welcome Choz to the club, and he goes straight into the squad for tonight's game against Matlock Town.
