Grantham will be looking for a big improvement this weekend when they make the trip north to face play-off contenders Warrington Town.

Last weekend was one to forget for Richard Thomas' men as they fell to a 5-0 defeat at home to Stafford Rangers to leave the Gingerbreads in 15th and four points clear of the relegation zone.

Saturday's defeat means that Town are now winless in three games and have only won one game at home since September.

Saturday's oppenents - Warrington Town - meanwhile are once again in and around the play-off spots - occupying third place and chasing the league leaders South Shields who are only three points clear of The Yellows.

Warrington also didn't taste victory at the weekend as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Lancaster City to also leave the Cheshire based side winless in three.

The earlier meeting between the sides took place back in November and saw Warrington take the three points back to Cantilever Park with a 2-0 win, albeit with both goals coming late on in the contest.

Grantham fans have fond memories of the last trip to Warrington, where a 3-0 win was secured, to take the Gingerbreads to the play-off final, after goals from Stefan Galinski, Danny Meadows and Jordan Hempenstall were enough to secure victory.

Grantham boss Thomas said his side must be more disciplined and told them to forget about the previous defeat: "The lads know my thoughts on the defeat and I won't need to voice them again.

"Warrington are a good side and are always near the top of the table so this won't be an easy game for us.

"I know this ground brings back good memories for the fans from the play-off experience last year and I know the lads want a repeat of that this season by getting the victory.

"We will be up against it but by being more disciplined and by working hard for each other we can get a result."

Thomas will be without Fernando Bell-Toxtle after he returned to Basford following the premature end of his loan spell. There are no injury concerns to report.
