The Gingerbreads were only able to secure a 1-1 draw at home to struggling Marine after Danny Durkin's early strike was cancelled out by Marine player Liam Hynes found an equaliser in the second half.
The result means Town have now only won one of their last 13 competitive fixtures and sit 15th in the table - four points ahead of this weekend's opponents.
The Sports also didn't see victory this weekend, instead suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat away at Buxton, leaving them just two points clear of the relegation spots.
Mickleover have also only managed to win only one of their past five league games.
The previous encounter between the two sides took place in September, where two goals from Michael Hollingsworth before a late consolation were enough to secure a 2-1 victory for the Gingerbreads.
Grantham boss Richard Thomas has been happy with the way his side have trained this week and is confident of getting a result this weekend.
He said: "The lads have looked really sharp this week and their focus has been as excellent as ever.
"We are working hard to make sure the results on the pitch improve and match our effort and I believe that we have what it takes to pull off a result in what will be a difficult encounter."
The biggest piece of team news is that defender Tom Ward has now returned to training following his injury.
Despite returning to training, Ward isn’t expected to be fit enough to return to match action.
There are no other new injury concerns to report.
