Adam Stevens named 3 changes to the starting line up with Michael Hollingsworth, Curtis Burrows and Andy Wright taking the places of Rhys Lewis, Luke Shaw and Danny Meadows. Also named on the bench was Academy player Tom Curtis.
On a heavy pitch, that affected The Gingerbreads passing it didn't stop the unbeaten run.
On 19 minutes, The Gingerbreads took the lead. Luther Wildin played a one two on the edge of the box with Harry Clifton. Luther's low cross was met by Lee Shaw, who got in front of former Gingerbread Jake Turner, to slot home.
Lincoln fought back and Kieran Preston found himself back pedaling and smartly saving from a long range effort. On the half hour they got their equaliser, when another former Gingerbread Gary King scrambled the ball in.
The Gingerbreads though went into half time in front. Stefan Galinski put a free kick on the halfway line into the box which found Harry Clifton and under pressure and falling he managed to pass the ball to Michael Hollingsworth on the edge of the box, who cooly curled the ball into the corner of the net. 2-1 to The Gingerbreads.
As they did at Sutton Coldfield on Monday, The Gingerbreads stepped it up another gear in the second half. On the hour Jeremiah Dasalou capitalised on some poor defending, Jake Turner spilled the ball and the defender it fell to could only knock the ball towards Jeremiah who made not doubt in firing the ball home.
Manager Adam Stevens, replaced Curtis Burrows with Luke Shaw, Andy Wright with Danny Meadows, and Jeremiah Dasalou with the returning Felipe Barcelos.
Felipe Barcelos looked as if he was determined to get a goal but it was only Lincoln United who were to get on the score sheet again. Just before the 90th minute ticked over, Lincoln were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Up stepped another former Gingerbread, Danny Brooks and in his usual style he blasted ball beyond Kieran Preston. The Gingerbreads restarted the match and seconds later the final whistle went.
The Gingerbreads now go into the draw for the 3rd Round of the Integro League Cup, we're unsure when this will be as there are still plenty of ties to be played.
