

Adam Stevens selected the same side that had put The Gingerbreads top of the table entering the match.
The Gingerbreads started brightly and had a host of chances. However at half time they were losing. On 43 minutes, Ashton attacked down the left and Liam Tomsett got on the end of a cross to put the hosts in front.
The second half The Gingerbreads pushed on as they looked for an equaliser. It finally came on 73 minutes. Ollie Luto put in a perfect cross for Luke Shaw to turn home. The Gingerbreads found no way through again, as the Ashton players seemed to get all the luck. Then in the final minute Ashton broke free and a right sided cross was turned home by Mark Lees.
There was still time though for Ashton to take an age over a throw in, and in this time something happened with Ollie Luto. The referees assistant spoke to the referee who produced a straight red card
