This was a game of two halves. Although a game of few chances, Pinchbeck found themselves ahead after some decent play on the wings. Then an ill timed challenge resulted in a penalty, that Jack Steggles was unable to keep out, even though he dived the right way. Sam Ezenwaka looked dangerous on the right but the half time whistle blew just as the heavens opened.
Tom Ford and Louis Bland must have said something in the dressing room as Grantham came out like a different team. The ever powerful Nathan Stainfield at the back led the team well. A bundled goal saw Grantham claw one back, with the scorer yet to be decided, before Stainfield powered one in himself.
Grantham was in the ascendency but the elements were not easy.
Star Player, Dan Dougill, was comfortable both in midfield and at the back, not putting a foot wrong all afternoon.
