Sam scored more than 30 goals in all competitions before trailing with Scottish club Partick Thistle and Chesterfield.

When at Penistone, Sam bagged 27 league goals in a season before moving up the football pyramid, with his former clubs including Matlock Town and Guiseley. The management team consider that Sam is an excellent attacking player who plays with pace and purpose, good with both feet, strong, quick and has a great strike on him. They feel he deserves a chance to prove himself at this level and delighted to have him onboard.
