Akeel joined Rotherham United as an eight year-old and progressed through The Millers’ ranks, having a loan spell at North Ferriby before joining Accrington Stanley in January 2018.He had periods at Wrexham and Rochdale as well as time with the Gingerbreads towards the end of the 2018-19 season.
Akeel joined from Guiseley in early February, making his return to the line-up at Bamber Bridge.
