Once again all Gingerbreads fans are being invited to become a member of the Grantham Town Playing Fund for the forthcoming league season. Fund administrator Tony Fraher is hoping to hear from any fans who are able to make a financial contribution no matter how large or small.
The purpose of the Fund is to directly increase the monies available to Louis beyond what the club and the excellent Supporters Club can afford to contribute each week.
The current membership is made up of longstanding fans who either contribute weekly or in lump sums over the season.
Thanks to their generosity the club received enough to pay at least two players wages over the last season which made a telling difference to the resources available to Louis.
Tony is hoping this can be equalled if not improved upon for this season.
“We are now in a league more suited to our geographical location and have an ambitious and talented management team at the helm supported by Paul Rawden and the rest of the Board to restore the clubs fortunes on and off the pitch.
In the 150th year of this proud club I urge our fans to step up to the challenge of putting our utmost into the financial backing to the squad that Louis is assembling. I know many fans already contribute in differing ways but let’s in our 150th year make this a season to remember.”
