Dear Supporters,
We are excited for Saturday’s Play-off Final, an occasion that promises to be a fantastic day for both clubs and their supporters.
Reaching the Play-off Final is a great achievement for both teams, and we hope it proves to be a memorable occasion for all involved.
All season, we have been promoting family days, and we look forward to seeing many families, young people, and long-standing supporters on Saturday afternoon. Both clubs have seen three generations attending games, fathers bringing their dads, mums bringing their children, and that’s exactly what football is about.
As two community clubs, we are committed to making this a positive and enjoyable event, with a healthy and respectful rivalry.
Following independent security and safety guidance, and discussions between both clubs, we advise that, due to the anticipated crowd numbers, segregated areas will be in place for home and away supporters.
Newark Town supporters have been allocated the away end, located on the south side of the ground. The entrance to this area will be clearly signposted, with stewards on hand to direct visitors into the stadium. There will be designated seating and standing areas, along with refreshments and food facilities available for you to enjoy the game. Please use turnstiles G4 & G5.
Grantham Town supporters will enter via the home gates. Home supporters should use turnstiles G6 & G7.
To help ensure a smooth and timely entry into the ground, please note that all supporters aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. We also encourage supporters to arrive early where possible.
Additionally, please note:
Drums
Drums will not be permitted at The Meres on this occasion. We know they can help build the atmosphere, however they tend to give some of our grandparents at the ground a bit of a headache. We want everyone to enjoy the game so thank you for your understanding.
Flares / Pyrotechnics
In line with strict FA guidelines, no flares or any type of pyrotechnics (however small) are allowed on site. Anyone found in possession of, or attempting to ignite, any such items will be removed.
Pitch Invasions
Entry onto the pitch by a supporter or group of supporters, at any time, is strictly prohibited.
Please also note that at the end of the match, a presentation by league officials will take place immediately. It is vital that no supporter enters the pitch, even after the final whistle.
Both clubs are proudly supported by families, young people, and long-standing supporters. These measures are in place for the benefit of everyone, and we ask all supporters to respect the guidelines and each other. Any behaviour that compromises the safety or enjoyment of others will be dealt with accordingly.
Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday. May the best team win.
