With a starting line up which included players who have spent time on the first team bench over the last year, Academy Manager Alex Watson felt his side could match a very good Aylestone Park side.

At halftime it was goalless but not long after the break Aylestone scored twice.

The Gingerbreads pulled one back through Tom Curtis from the penalty spot.

However as The Gingerbreads looked for an equaliser, Aylestone regained their 2 goal lead.

Almost immediately Brandon Lee pulled a goal back for The Gingerbreads. They couldn't though score again and it's Aylestone who progressed to the next round.
