It's Never Too Late For Jingle Bells

2 weeks ago By Simon Hayes

The Gingerbreads grabbed a first ever win in the NPL at Halesowen this afternoon.

After weathering the early pressure from the home side, The Gingerbreads dominated the match.

It took though until the half hour to open the scoring. Curtis Burrows found himself in the right place to loop a header home.

7 minutes later The Gingerbreads doubled their lead. Lee Shaw raced onto a long ball and he fired home in his usual way.

Revelling in his team bonding darts victory, Andrew Wright look determined to get on the score sheet. And on 67 minutes he did when he slotted the ball in at the near post at the tightest of angles.

9 minutes from time, Halesowen pulled one back and despite late rally, The Gingerbreads held on and take all 3 points.

The win takes The Gingerbreads up-to second in the table.
