The Gingerbreads made sure their name was in the hat for the FA Cup draw on Monday lunchtime after Michael Hollingsworth slotted home his third penalty in as many games in the final minute of injury time to beat Daventry Town 1-0, after Ross Barrows was deemed to have been fouled in the box.
The win stretched Grantham's unbeaten run to three games in all competitions and provided a huge boost of confidence ahead of Tuesday night's fixture, which could see Town climb to the top of the table, providing results go their way.
Home side North Ferriby haven't had the start to the season that hoped for, currently occupying one of the relegation spots in 22nd position and with only one win to their name so far. The Villagers' FA Cup run will also be one to forget as they crashed out at the first hurdle on Saturday - losing 4-1 away to lower league opposition in the form of Dunston UTS. North Ferriby will also be looking for a first win in four competitive games after losing three on the bounce.
Ian Culverhouse believes that North Ferriby will provide his Grantham side with another tough test on Tuesday night: "This is going to be a very tricky game for us for sure. Just because they are towards the lower half of the table doesn't mean its going to be an easy 90 minutes. They will be hungry to put things right and we need to be on the ball from the minute the game kicks off to bring home the three points."
Tom Batchelor is still ruled out through injury whilst Morgan Penfold could return following his absence due to a back injury. Ryan Oliver will also be back for selection after he was cup tied for Saturday's win.
