The best way to keep up to date with Grantham Town FC

Back on the Road For the Gingerbreads

10 months ago By Callum Boyle

Grantham play away from home on Tuesday night as they make the short trip to Leicestershire to face Coalville Town.

The Gingerbreads will be looking to return to winning ways following on from a 2-1 defeat at home to Stafford Rangers with Lee Shaw grabbing the only goal for Grantham from the penalty spot.

The result leaves Grantham 12th in the table and 5 points off the last play-off place, currently held by Stourbridge.

The home side Coalville however have surprised so far this season, sitting in 10th position with most people expecting them to be involved in a relegation battle. The Ravens however have not been in the best of form lately, losing three of their last four games including Saturday's 1-0 defeat away to Workington.

As normal we'll have match updates across our social media accounts

Grantham have already played Coalville this season, losing 1-0 at home courtesy of a goal from ex Gingerbreads striker Massiah McDonald.

Manager Adam Stevens says his side need to forget about Saturday's poor performance and focus on the upcoming games: "Saturday was an off day and we need to move on from that because that is how we don't want to play. If we want to better last season we have to turn up, play our football and ensure we beat the opposition in every department to get the three points."

Rhys Lewis is available for selection after he sat out of Saturday's game through suspension. The rest of the squad remains fit and available for selection.
