Home tie in the League Cup awaits

1 week ago By Andy Sutton

Grantham will look to go one better than last seasons runners-up in the Northern Premier League Cup this season.

The Gingerbreads have been drawn at home to one of two Evo-Stik NPL Division One South sides, as Lincoln United face Corby Town in a preliminary round tie, before the victors face a trip to the Meres in the first round.

Grantham beat Lincoln United in last seasons competition en-route to the final in the second round at Ashby Avenue. Should Corby be the visitors, it will be the first league cup meeting since the 1996 Southern League Cup tie, which the Steelmen won 3-1.

The tie will take place on Tuesday 17th October, kick off 7.45pm
